Maternova is a social start-up creating a global marketplace for resources and technologies for saving newborns and mothers. In today’s strategy session, we stepped outside the box, ignoring the conventional social media strategies that rely on news syndication and polling. We began creating a content strategy that uses the best features of each social network to create engaging story lines around the technologies and resources Maternova is providing and the lives that are being saved as a result. There are plenty of low-cost medical devices and tools that can help doctors and midwives deliver babies safely, however people in the developing world usually have no access to them.
